100 Nights Shelter Program; Overflow beds at UCC

100 Nights Shelter Program; Overflow beds at UCC

The Mission committee sponsored this program last year with the help of volunteers from our church family. We will be doing this again for the coldest months of December through March 2016 on an “as needed” basis. This provides another 10 overnight beds for homeless in the Keene area, providing warmth and safety for a vulnerable population. We are looking for your help. Please prayerfully consider serving as an overnight volunteer for some nights during that time period. We provide supervision for no more than 10 adults, serve a light snack and get folk out to a local breakfast program the next morning. You will get training and insights to help you. We work in teams of two persons at all times allowing one to sleep while the other stays awake. You may serve once or more times during a month depending on scheduled needs. Do YOU have some time to offer?

Please consider this opportunity and look for further announcements in the E-news or Sunday bulletin as to a training time here at the church. We will meet here with a representative from 100 Nights, or take training there. Hilda de Moya 357-3749, for more information.
