5th Annual Dr. King Breakfast
On Monday, January 18th, at 8AM Keene Interfaith Clergy will sponsor our fifth annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in partnership with Keene’s Martin Luther King Jr. /Jonathan Daniels committee, and The Monadnock Interfaith Project. The event will be held in Hellenic Hall at St. George’s church, 70 West St. Keene. Rev. Michael F. Hall from the Keene Interfaith Clergy group and co-chair of the breakfast says “the breakfast will highlight the unity and diversity of religious perspectives among the congregations, and clergy in Keene and the strength of our interfaith community. However, this year our focus will be expanded to include community-wide conversations that may inspire actions based on Dr. King’s message of the intimate relationship between civil rights and economic justice.”
Our music this year will be provided by local musician, Aly Galipeau.
The breakfast will cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, and tickets are available at the door. For other information please call Rev. Mark Ferrin at The First Baptist Church at 352-0340, or Rev. Michael Hall at The Unitarian Universalist Church at 352-171, or Rev. Ron Nickerson at the Seventh – Day Adventist Church at 358-3332.
