Cheshire Inmate Ministries (ChIM) Launches August 31, 2015

Our church is beginning to form the first program of its emerging Cheshire Inmate Ministries (ChIM) ad hoc committee. Our initial program offering is called Women Mentoring Women. Volunteer mentors will be trained to provide support, encouragement, and structure to female inmates of the Cheshire County House of Corrections as they transition back into our community. An initial introductory meeting and training session will take place on Monday, August 31, at 7:00 PM at the church. If you’ve already expressed interest in participating in this program, we’ll see you there! If you’d like to sign up now, please contact Sherman Morrison at and let him know of your interest. The first meeting will serve as an introduction for what we think the program will look like, the commitment involved, the types of training you’ll undergo, and the kinds of support we’ll be providing. We hope this is the beginning of a new and significant way to bring the love of Christ to members of our community who need it.
