Dear Friends of the UCC Keene Youth Group:

Dear Friends of the UCC Keene Youth Group:

Our High School Youth will be traveling to Washington, DC in February of 2016 for their annual Mission Trip.

We are asking for your support and prayers as we plan and complete our mission to work with the homeless and hungry in our Nation’s Capitol.

On previous trips to DC, many of our youth have been surprised to see the amount of people living on the streets and eating in soup kitchens.  This trip helps them to understand that those less fortunate need our help.  While there we will work with the DC Central Kitchen, Capitol Hill Group Ministry and So Others Might Eat.  We also plan to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum as well as visiting other sites of interest.

To raise money, we are doing an “Envelope Choice”, where you choose the envelope you want and then return it to the church with a check or cash for the amount listed on the front of the envelope.   The envelopes are tacked to the bulletin board in the church dining room.  Please be sure your check states:  “Youth Mission Trip” in the memo line.  If you cannot make it to the church, please call and someone will help you with you get an envelope.

Thank you for your donation and support.  We will be sharing about our trip with the congregation on March 6, 2016.
