DESCRIPTION:The United Church of Christ in Keene welcomes you to celebrate the blessing of our animal friends in our lives! \nWe invite to bring your pet\, but only if it is not too stressful and your pet is comfortable with other animals. Have dogs on leashes\, please. As always\, pictures of your pets (on paper or on cell phones) are welcome\, too. \nThe worship service begins at 10 am\, Sunday\, May 12\, outdoors in the Elsie Priest Park\, behind the UCC-Keene\, on the corner of Court and Vernon streets. If it rains\, the event will be held in the Church’s dining room\, accessible through the parking lot entrance on Vernon Street.

DESCRIPTION:The Choir at the United Church of Christ in Keene will present music of Mozart for a Sermon-in-Music on Sunday\, May 5\, during the 10 am worship service. All are welcome. \n“Regina Coeli” [Queen of Heaven] K. 276 is the featured work\, honoring the Virgin Mary. Music Director Beverly Caldon will conduct the singers\, with string quartet accompaniment. Vocal soloists are soprano Evangelina Leontis\, mezzo-soprano Margaret Dodsun-Buhl\, tenor Steve O’Brien\, and bass Sherman Morrison. \nOther Mozart pieces included in the morning worship are “Laudate Dominum\,” “Alleluia\,” and “Ave Verum Corpus.” \nThe Church is located at 23 Central Square\, Keene\, with an accessible entrance at the rear of the building off Vernon Street. Once inside\, there’s an elevator to the Sanctuary on the second floor.

I also paint when I am away in the tropics\, and have many tropical island scenes.” \nMs. Hulslander is a member of the Monadnock Area Art Association and has won multiple awards at the annual Art in the Park in Keene. She says\, “Once you realize you can paint\, nothing is the same. You walk in a vivid world of opportunity. Every flower garden that grows\, each twinkle of ocean water\, a city scene in front of you\, a homeless person on the street or dogs in a golf cart… they are all potential paintings.” \nThe exhibit is open from 11 am to noon every Sunday\, and by appointment during the week by calling the church office\, 603-352-4136.
