Mozart’s “Regina Coeli” is May 5 Sermon-in-Music at UCC-Keene

The Choir at the United Church of Christ in Keene will present music of Mozart for a Sermon-in-Music on Sunday, May 5, during the 10 am worship service. All are welcome.

“Regina Coeli” [Queen of Heaven] K. 276 is the featured work, honoring the Virgin Mary. Music Director Beverly Caldon will conduct the singers, with string quartet accompaniment. Vocal soloists are soprano Evangelina Leontis, mezzo-soprano Margaret Dodsun-Buhl, tenor Steve O’Brien, and bass Sherman Morrison.

Other Mozart pieces included in the morning worship are “Laudate Dominum,” “Alleluia,” and “Ave Verum Corpus.”

The Church is located at 23 Central Square, Keene, with an accessible entrance at the rear of the building off Vernon Street. Once inside, there’s an elevator to the Sanctuary on the second floor.
