Ukama Partnership
For years, the New Hampshire Conference of The United Church of Christ has enjoyed a special relationship with The United Church of Christ in Zimbabwe. As part of this initiative, UCC Keene maintains an active partnership with The Mt. Selinda United Church of Christ. Throughout the year, we sponsor special worship and service opportunities that honor this special friendship, known in Shona as ukama.
Activism for Peace
In response to global events, UCC Keene is always poised to mobilize support on behalf of peace and justice. We recently partnered with the City and other faith communities to sponsor a vigil for Ukraine on the Square. Each Thursday, we ring our bell in honor of the Ukrainian struggle for freedom. In short, we go where the issues take us. Finally, we support natural disaster relief, refugees, and women’s rights through the Global Ministries arm of the national UCC.
