Guideline for End-of-Life Planning

Getting your affairs in order is a wise idea for you and an important gift for your loved ones. The Stewardship Team at UCC-Keene offer this guideline for End-of-Life Planning to begin this process, no matter your circumstances. While each person is unique, some basic steps apply to all. End-of-Life Planning is an act of love and an act of responsibility

As you read through this guideline for End-of-Life Planning, you may already have items on the checklist. You’ll find tips and steps to organize your personal, financial, and medical information. There will be in-person presentations at UCC-Keene in coming months to discuss this process, if that will help you. UCC-Keene is caring for you from cradle to grave.

Mission & Justice

Throughout the year, our various Mission and Justice groups sponsor continuing education opportunities. From a three-week Creation Justice study of the book, Cathedral on Fire, to a four-week workshop, Talking with Kids (and Anyone Else) about Racism, there is always plenty to learn about the issues of the day and how we might respond as people of faith. Check the Calendar or Email the Office for more information.

Sacred Circles

During Lent, we sponsor a five-week topical series of interest to the whole congregation. Past series have included a study of the Psalms, White Privilege, and The Art of Forgiving. Participants meet in small groups in host homes to learn, grow, and share their faith stories. Sacred Circles are a great way to meet and make new friends! Check the Calendar or Email the Office for more information.

Hospitality Team

Each week, a team of volunteers supplies and serves coffee, tea, and snacks during our fellowship hour after worship. This is a wonderful “entry-level” way to get to know folks in the Church! Volunteers serve only once every six weeks. Please let us know if you are interested in helping!

''I participate in the Men’s Group and recommend it to all men in the Church. We study the Bible, a book at a time, and talk about current issues and how the Bible informs that discussion. Understanding God is so big, that we can only do it a little bit at a time.''
Carl
''Our Women’s Fellowship will celebrate its 100th Anniversary soon. That’s 100 years of holding rummage sales, celebrating Christmas fairs, hosting receptions, supporting youth mission trips, donating to community groups, and participating in any other need that comes up in the dynamic, spiritual life of our Church.''
