Long-time UCC-Keene member, Barbara Hall, was presented with an Outstanding Woman Recognition award by the Women’s Fellowship of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ at the 2023 Annual Spring Gathering. She was nominated for the honor by the Women’s Fellowship of the United Church of Christ in Keene.
Barbara’s leadership at the UCC-Keene began in the 1970s when she was the first woman to serve on the Board of Deacons. In the 1990s, she chaired a committee to welcome and resettle a refugee family from Bosnia. Her continuing service includes 8 years on the Church Council, 4 years as a Ministry Coordinator, and two terms as president of the Women’s Fellowship, including the group’s 90th Anniversary Celebration in 2015. She’s been part of the flower committee, the reception committee, the hospitality committee, and works yearly at rummage sales and Christmas fairs.
Barbara has sung soprano in the Senior Choir for more that 40 years, has prepared brochures for countless fundraising campaigns, and is currently the web contact person for UCC-Keene programs and events.
