Kasey March, an end of life doula, and Susan MacNeil, author of 18 Minutes: A Daughter’s Primer on Life & Death, will talk about preparing for a good death through the lens of their own experiences, on Thursday, March 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the first floor Chapel of the United Church of Christ in Keene. The presentation is open to adults over 18. There is no registration or charge to attend. Enter the Church from the Vernon Street entrance. Coffee, tea, and cake will be available.
March is a trained International End of Life Doula (INELDA) and works with clients to determine what a good death looks like for them and how to best accomplish that goal with the time and resources at their disposal.
MacNeil, a writer, voiceover artist, and former Executive Director of AIDS Services for the Monadnock Region. She experienced her mother’s death in early 2022 and had to combine grieving with serving as executor of her mother’s estate. She will read from her book which is available at Toadstool Bookshop and Amazon.
They will provide a framework for others to join the conversation about all aspects of death and specifics around end of life challenges and issues. The event is not a support group, but will be conducted in a compassionate, loving environment.
