Interfaith Climate Cafe at UCC-Keene, April 14

The United Church of Christ in Keene, the Keene Clean Energy Team, and the Monadnock Interfaith Project are co-hosting an Interfaith Climate Café on Sunday, April 14, 3-6 pm, at the UCC-Keene. The format will be similar to the Clean Energy Team’s previous Climate Cafés, with plenty of time for sharing experiences and actions, followed by a brief presentation and discussion with a featured speaker.

April’s café will have a panel of six speakers from a variety of traditions:
Buddhist – Michael Ciborski, Morning Sun Mindfulness Center, Alstead;
Catholic – Julia Steed Mawson, St. Patrick’s Parish, Pelham;
Indigenous – Denise Pouliot – Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook-Abenaki, Alton;
Jewish Rabbi Daniel Aronson, Congregation Ahavas Achim, Keene;
Muslim – Mohammad Saleh, Monadnock Interfaith Project, Keene; and
Protestant – Marge Shepardson, Federated Church of Marlborough.

Please join us for this special event and bring friends from other local faith communities. The Church has an accessible entrance from Vernon Street and there is free parking. A reception will follow the program. RSVP to jwhite@ucckeene.org to help us plan.
