Our Church Administrator, Julie White, was honored for Outstanding Woman Recognition by the NH State Women’s Fellowship at their spring gathering on April 15 in Deering, NH.
For the past ten years, Julie has been the first voice on the phone, first responder to emails, and first person in the office when people are looking for information about the UCC Keene. There isn’t a project or program that occurs in this 288-year-old building that she doesn’t arrange or participate in.
During every Women’s Fellowship meeting and rummage sale and Christmas Fair, Julie is arranging rooms, printing signs, and taking photos. She does these things for the Youth Group and Sunday School and any visiting group that presents a lecture or program or exhibit in our building.
She has worked with our amazing staff, every church committee, community leaders, and countless volunteers. She will retire in June and words can’t describe how much we’ll miss her. Julie’s contributions are boundless and have been a significant part of the life of our Church for years. We are so grateful that she shared so much of her time and talent with us.
As our Senior Minister, Rev. Cindy Bagley, writes: “Julie was the first person I hired when I became Minister of The United Church of Christ. Right from the start, she grasped my vision for this congregation, working tirelessly by my side to make change and revitalization a reality. Her corporate experience, deep intelligence, creativity, commitment, and compassion have endeared her, not only to me as a treasured colleague, but to our entire congregation. As she embraces a new phase of life, she most definitely deserves recognition as an Outstanding Woman of the NH State Women’s Fellowship.”
